guest blogging at Brooklyn Limestone today!

October 16, 2009

Today, I’m showing off our bathroom remodel over at Brooklyn Limestone!  Thanks to Mrs. Limestone for letting me write a little somethin’ somethin’ for her bloggy blog, and also for having great taste and great pictures to go along with it (her recently-remodeled bathroom with marble hex and subway tiles was some of the inspiration for our own bathroom remodel).  If you don’t follow her blog already, you should!

And for those of you coming over from Brooklyn Limestone – Hi!  Welcome!  Please take a look around and leave us a note to say hi!

We’re city kids making a home in the country, learning a lot, and sharing our adventures with our dogs and the (blogging) world!  More about us here.

Our home tour is here (much of our home is still a work in progress).

You’ve already seen our bathroom remodel on Brooklyn Limestone (can you believe people would put CARPET on the WALLSSeriously.), but if you’re interested in seeing a few of our other before-and-almost-afters, you can take a look at our kitchen, dining room, and office.  All were made over with a small budget and just a few coats of paint!  Of course, even these are a work-in-progress and we have big plans to continue to improve these rooms and the rest of our house (our other bathroom also has CARPET on the WALLS!), and we’d be honored if you’d come along for the ride!

I’d vote for a heavy white shower curtain …with a lot of texture like a matelassse or a quilted look…(no ruffles) …then possibly a large monogram in a dark grey or black….perhaps inside a hexagon border….matching black or grey piping on the bottom ….
