baby swim lessons

Lilly’s grammy and poppy bought her baby swim lessons for Christmas.  And she LOVES the pool!

Her favorite moves include sitting on the wall and leaning her body into daddy’s arms until he puts her in the water and sticking her tongue out to lick the water.  There were a few nights that I’m pretty sure she had an entire belly full of pool water by the time her 30-min “lesson” ended.

Look at the focus here!  I think she’s headed for the olympics?  Although Jason and I both secretly hope that she doesn’t become a competitive swimmer because neither one of us wants to get up and drive her to early morning practice…

One night, while Jason and Lilly were playing, another mom asked if she could take a few pics of them having fun in the pool.  She was there taking pictures of her son, and had just opened a photography business (Simply Graceful Portraits).  She took some wonderful shots of the two of them playing, and I am so grateful to her for doing so!  Check them out:

I think this last one is my fav.  By the end of the 7-week session, Lilly seemed to get the hang of kick-kick-kicking when Jason whispered in her ear.  So cute.  And of course she was giggling (and drinking pool water) the entire time…
