anniversary week: between the ceremony and reception
Immediately after the ceremony, Jason and I hopped a trolley to a nearby barn to take pictures. It gave us a good 20 minutes of alone time to celebrate our new marriage and talk about the ceremony. Oh, yes, and get some amazing photos – I am totally hooked on these photos… I’ll have to show you where I’ll be hanging them next week!
American Gothic? We used this photo on our thank you notes…
After our little bride + groom photo shoot, we stopped back at the church to take a few family photos and pick up our bridal party, then we headed downtown in the trolley.
After our pictures in the church, we boarded a trolley and headed down to the Third Ward for more pictures!!
While on the trolley, we handed out *comfy* shoes to our bridal party. I think they made for some super-cool pictures.
I love these photos of our parents!
My siblings and I
Then, our bridal party headed to the reception, and J and I wandered the streets of Milwaukee for just a few more photos.
One good reason to suffer with a cathedral-length veil all day? Pictures like this, with it blowing in the breeze!
We hopped a bus, because we love public transportation and thought it would be a cool backdrop for a few more photos. We saw the bus coming, and Jason ran to the bus stop ahead of me… we almost lost our photographers, who were doubled over laughing because I was chasing Jason. We ran past a bar, and everyone in the bar was pointing at the bride chasing the groom and cracking up, too!
After our photo shoot, we headed to our awesome reception…
