a low-key weekend
I’m happy to announce that we’re looking forward to enjoying a low-key weekend at our house in the country. {smile}
A field that Barley and I walk past often. It makes me smile.
It’s been a hectic summer, between moving, visiting family, and trying to make new friends in our new town. So we’re going to lay low this weekend. We’ve got no formal plans, and just a few items on our usually-full “to do” list: pack for next week’s trip to New Jersey and Ireland, finalize some of our travel plans, finish up a few things around the house, and relax and enjoy each other’s (and Barley’s) company!
What are your *exciting* weekend plans?
(Check out other friday posts at The Inspired Room and Hooked on Houses.)

I’ll be excited waiting for you, Jen & Jason, to arrive next week! Can’t wait to see you! Enjoy your weekend and we’ll see you soon!
I know! I am so excited for our ‘Jersey and Ireland adventures! It will be so nice to see you, Jim, and the rest of the family again – it’s been too long!
love your pictures -
enjoy Ireland – we go every year – it’s beautiful
please post pictures of your trip
and check out the “dingle peninsula” it’s my favorite
We have an authentic Irish Pub in our house that my husband built and everything in it is from Ireland -
Will post pictures on my blog soon.
I love low-key weekends – they bring you back so you can face the real world! Have a great weekend!
We’ve just gotten a new house, so my weekend consists of taking up carpet, painting and taking down wallpaper, but at least on Sunday night I will be able to see the progress!
Whoo hoo, we are in the beautiful Montana mountains….80′s 90′s and sunny (but it is a DRY HEAT) I LOVE it! Going up to Bridger Bowl ski area and doing some hiking right after breakfast! Enjoy your weekend and check out Jennifer’s blog for photos (coming soon).
I think we may be neighbors? We live in Livonia, although my husband and our 2 dogs are from Australia
What we’d give to live in the country! That is actually our dream…an old country home on enough land so that our 2 ‘boys’ can run and run and run!
Can’t believe you are coming to Ireland SO SOON!
Hoping we can meet up, if your plans permit.
Thought of another MUST SEE place – the Crown Bar in Belfast
Having a low key weekend after the birthday celebrations.
I’m looking forward to seeing all those awesome pics of Ireland while you test out my zoom lens! Just drop us a note here and there to let us know you are ok please; the major blogging can wait if you are busy seeing the sights! Remember: I’m first alternate should your travel companion find that he is unable to fulfill his duties and needs to pass his crown to the next in line!
